Studies show that music lessons increase creative intelligence and contribute to success in school and success in life.
One researcher states “The musician is constantly adjusting decisions
on tempo, tone, style, rhythm, phrasing, and feeling - training
the brain to become incredibly good at organizing and conducting
numerous
activities
at once. Dedicated practice of this orchestration can have a
great payoff for lifelong attention skills, intelligence, and an
ability
for self-knowledge
and expression.”
Students who take music lessons received more academic honors and awards and made better grades in high school. They also scored higher on SAT college entrance tests.
Sixty-six percent of music majors who applied to Medical Schools were accepted. Only forty-four percent of next highest major, biochemistry, were accepted.
Structure
Individual lessons provide fun, engaging and challenging piano, guitar, harp, drums, clarinova, organ and voice instruction. Instruction is provided through a sequential program
featuring
the style of music (classical, jazz, pop, or rock) the student likes
and is designed to produce results. Computer games are used to teach
music theory and music history. Teaching on individual instrument provides ear
training, teaches note reading, rhythm and all other skills necessary
to play or sing well. Performance opportunities are available to build
confidence and self-esteem.

Lessons feature sight-reading, correct technique and theory. Students will enjoy playing piano, guitar, harp, drums, clarinova, organ and voice and become proficient in reading music.
